LOVE AND MEDITATION

There are basically two types of people… Masculine and Feminine! Hence basically there are only two ways of Sadhana. If you are feminine, Love is your way, if you are masculine, Meditation is for you!

Meera was absolutely mad in love with Krishna and in the end she simply disappeared into Krishna! If you are feminine, you share your love with everyone. Unconditional Love!

But if you are masculine, you like to think and intellectualize, it is difficult to love unconditionally. In that case you simply watch your breath, watch your thoughts and meditate more and more. Just like Gautama Buddha, deeper you go, more the joy and peace you will feel!

Now, you may wonder, what is right for me, Love or Meditation?

The fact is we all are masculine and feminine simultaneously. In each person, any one attribute may be predominant but we have both these aspects in us.

Our brain has two halves. Right brain is feminine, Intuitive, Emotional, Artistic, childlike innocent, musical, qualitative…

Left brain is masculine, logical, mathematical, sequential, analytical, fact based, scientific, organized, planned, quantitative…
If we learn to use both sides of our brain, we all are Ardhanareshwara!

If your dominant attribute is masculine, you start with meditation. More you meditate, more loving you will become. If your dominant attribute is feminine, you love everyone unconditionally and that will open the door for you to deep meditation!

At the end you will realize that Love and Meditation are not two different things. If you choose one the other happens naturally! That is the ultimate flowering of human consciousness!

In Shaivic tradition the Shiva Linga is highly respected and prayed all over India and also in many parts of the world. It represents perfect balance and union of masculine and feminine energies.

The one who attains to such a balance is really a wise one!

  5. Such Understanding is the need of time, because in every aspect people are holding onto extremes. As beautifully explained above the balance has to be maintained in every thing. Thank you for the understanding.

  6. Real Meditation leads into unconditional love and unconditional love itself is meditation. When the energy oozes out and radiates it is love and when same energy works inwards and puts one into bliss, it is meditation. The real understanding happens when one experiences this. When one always stays in this state that is the beginning of the journey in Enlightenment.

    With gratitude to all Masters

  7. Dear Guruji,
Thank you very much! we always hear about balanced outlook, middle path and so on. But the real meaning of the same is not understood. Your explaination has given a new perspective to the same. Balancing of both sides of brains is the ultimate key.

Very simply you have explained how a person should live his life moment to moment.
"Watch your breath, watch your thoughts and love everyone unconditionally."
